Open To: Members aged 18+
Trustees should be a member in good standing at KABC. Trustees should have the ability to work with church leadership and church members. Experience in finances, investments, marketing, property management, law, non-profit management.
- People with organizational and administrative abilities; ability to work as part of a team; good computer skills and ability to understand basic math and financial management processes.
- People who are committed to serving the Lord and not just on Sundays. Trustees must be flexible in sharing their gifts and talents with the church as needed.
The Board of Trustees ("The Board") is responsible for the upkeep, management and protection of church properties and the management and protection of the finances of the church. The Board determines the use of the church for extra or secular purposes in consultation with the pastor. The Board shall identify ways and means to fundraise in support of the church and its missions and activities. The Board prepares written financial reports to the church at regularly scheduled church meetings and as requested by the leadership of the church. The Board is responsible to hire all church employees and consultants and determines the salary and/or pay for the employees and consultants. Members of The Board participate in ad hoc committee(s) of The Board and regularly participate in church activities and events, Sunday worship, Sunday School, Bible Study and weekly "count" of monies collected. Members may be elected to serve a 1, 2 or 3 year term and may be re-elected for an additional term.
